Meet the Commission

The three-member Port Commission serves as the board of directors for the Port of Olympia, a municipal corporation. Each commissioner represents a district within Thurston County, and serves a four-year term. However, all voters cast a ballot for each commissioner in the general election.

The commissioners meet twice monthly to set the objectives, policies and overall direction of the Port. The commissioners appoint the Port's executive director, who is responsible for the on-going management of the Port's enterprises and facilities.
